The images I make are the merging of many interests & influences, anchored in realism & tradition, in the study of light, form & plastic space.

Or, as Willem de Kooning remarked,

"I want to paint like Ingres and Soutine at the same time."

Painting is not a linear process, but I do find that I can dig deeper - and, hopefully, into new territory - when I work on a series of images. The links to the left reflect where my passion & curiosity are currently taking me. Newer works & explorations will show up on the blog and migrate back here if it looks like I've hit a vein.
